Bryon Greco, a 39-year-old resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced on April 16 in federal court for attempted production of child pornography. United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced that United States District Court Judge Susan Bazis imposed a sentence of 420 months’ imprisonment. Greco will also serve a ten-year term of supervised release after his prison term ends. There is no parole in the federal system.

The case began when an online moderator for a Minecraft server submitted a tip to the FBI National Threat Operations Center in November 2024 regarding Greco’s involvement in the sexual exploitation of a minor using Discord. Investigators determined that Greco started communicating with the minor through Discord in 2023 and encouraged her to send him nude photos and videos. He also sent sexually explicit images and videos of himself to the victim. Authorities confirmed that Greco is already a convicted sex offender from Gage County, Nebraska.

Woods said this case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
