Michael Lee Gragg, a 52-year-old resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced on March 19 in federal court for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced the sentencing, which took place before United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis.

Gragg received a sentence of 120 months in prison for the conspiracy charge and an additional 60 months for the firearm offense. The sentences will be served consecutively, totaling 15 years in federal prison without parole. Upon completion of his prison term, Gragg will be subject to five years of supervised release.

According to information provided by law enforcement, Gragg was involved with others in distributing methamphetamine in Lincoln between November 2024 and January 2025. The Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force arranged two purchases of one-ounce quantities of methamphetamine from Gragg in November. In December, two more purchases were made from him on the same day, totaling approximately three-quarters of an ounce; during one transaction he also sold a nine-millimeter pistol.

Investigators followed Gragg to Omaha on January 7, where he met with his suspected source and another individual at a house before returning separately to Lincoln. After arriving back in Lincoln, officers searched Gragg’s pickup truck and found nearly one pound of methamphetamine inside. He admitted that he had just obtained the drugs in Omaha with plans to divide them up upon return.

The case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
