United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced the sentencing of William Arthur Parrott, a 54-year-old resident of Lincoln, Nebraska. Parrott was sentenced on June 12, 2025, in federal court for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture. United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis handed down a sentence of 300 months’ imprisonment. Following his release, Parrott will serve a five-year term of supervised release.

Parrott’s conviction came after a three-day jury trial in Lincoln on January 30, 2025. The trial included testimony from three individuals who were involved in drug distribution activities with Parrott between March 2020 and November 2022. The prosecution presented evidence such as text messages related to drug transactions between Parrott and one witness, drugs found during a search of the witness’s hotel room, information from searches of residences linked to other co-conspirators, a tracker placed on a co-conspirator’s vehicle, and surveillance by narcotics investigators.

The court held Parrott accountable for distributing approximately 11 kilograms of methamphetamine. He received additional sentencing enhancements due to possession of a gun connected to the drug offense and using his residence in Lincoln for drug distribution purposes.

The investigation was conducted by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
