Judicial Branch Education announced on March 23 that Leah Cech has been selected as the Director of Court Education, with her appointment effective March 9, 2026. In this role, Cech will support a team responsible for training, ongoing education, onboarding, and outreach for all Nebraska court staff.
Cech began working with the Nebraska Judicial Branch in January 2024 as the Access to Justice Specialist. In that position, she managed projects and coordinated activities for the Nebraska Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission and its various committees and work groups. Before joining the judicial branch, Cech held positions related to university compliance, student support services, research, and teaching at Doane University. She also has several years of experience as an English as a Second Language instructor and holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Claremont Graduate University.
