The United States Attorney for the District of Nebraska, Lesley A. Woods, announced that a federal Grand Jury has returned 30 unsealed indictments charging 31 defendants with various offenses. These indictments are formal accusations and do not constitute evidence of guilt; all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Among those indicted is Jeffery Robinson, 49, of Springfield, Nebraska, who faces charges related to failure to register as required by the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) between April 7 and May 2, 2025. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.

Devon Rice, 28, of Lincoln, Nebraska, is charged with attempted production of child pornography from at least May 30 through June 18, 2025. The maximum penalty upon conviction ranges from a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of 30 years in prison, along with financial penalties and supervised release.

Other notable indictments include Dakota Parrott for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine; Joshua Hollum for both drug trafficking and use of a firearm in furtherance of that crime; Victor Zavala Garcia for making false statements on a passport application; Tyson Bauer for making false statements to influence the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation; Eulisis Martin on multiple counts involving explosives and threats against federal officials; Cristian Manuel Tovar-Olivares and Snaider Sthiferson Castro Hidalgo for conspiracy to commit bank burglary and unauthorized computer access; Daryl J. Leise for bank fraud; Carina Guadalupe Salazar-Zuniga for visa fraud and purchasing counterfeit documents; Cody Chilson for escape from custody; Salih M. Samin Totakhil for international parental kidnapping; Tyrece D. Thomas for sexual assault by force or threat; Guadalupe Cabrera Mejia for identity-related crimes; Marvin Aleman Zepeda for assaulting officers with a deadly weapon; Thomas M. Laughlin and Travell Richard as felons in possession of firearms.

Additional cases involve Rodolfo De Leon Cua and Joyce M. Beauchamp on child pornography charges; Juan Cabrera Rivera on methamphetamine distribution charges; Michael Krauth on methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute; Tresean E. Washington as a felon in possession of a firearm; Osmar Lorenzo-Genchi on charges including assaulting law enforcement officers and damaging U.S. property; Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco on attempted murder of a federal officer among other counts.

Several individuals—Tomas Castillo-Martinez, Carlos Humberto Barrios Perez, Dulce Anel Franco-Cortez, Ignacio Galvez Aguilar—are charged with being previously deported aliens found again in the United States without proper authorization. Two others—Nelson Enrique Rivera-Maradiaga and Francisco Meza-Carmona—face similar charges following prior felony convictions.

“Indictments are charging documents that contain one or more individual counts that are merely accusations, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.”

All defendants face varying penalties if convicted depending on the specific charges brought against them.
